B2B Salesperson of the Year | AI Sales Agent of the Year

Clinical Laboratory Equipment & Diagnostics Salesperson of the Year

The Salesperson Behind Every Patient Result

Every blood panel, every pathology report, every critical diagnostic result starts with someone who put the right instrument in the right lab. Clinical lab equipment salespeople do not just sell analyzers. They sell confidence in patient outcomes.

They navigate CLIA regulations, CAP accreditation requirements, and hospital procurement committees. They understand assay menus, throughput requirements, and the difference between a reagent-rental model and a capital purchase. They build relationships with lab directors who will not give them the time of day unless they prove they understand the science.

This category recognizes the B2B salespeople and AI sales agents serving hospital laboratories, reference labs, physician office labs, and independent clinical laboratories.

Part of National B2B Salesperson Day

The Clinical Laboratory Equipment & Diagnostics Salesperson of the Year award is part of National B2B Salesperson Day, held every January 16th. Founded by Salesperson Inc. in 2026, National B2B Salesperson Day exists because the professionals who generate the revenue that keeps companies alive deserve a day of their own. January was chosen because it is when annual quotas reset and pipeline pressure is highest. The clinical lab equipment salesperson who closes a multi-analyzer deal at a health system, the one who earns the trust of a lab director who has seen every competitor pitch, they deserve to be recognized when it matters most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who qualifies for the Clinical Laboratory Equipment & Diagnostics category?
Any B2B salesperson who sells clinical lab analyzers, IVD instruments, diagnostic systems, reagents, or related services to hospitals, reference labs, physician office labs, or independent clinical laboratories. This includes field reps, national account managers, and applications specialists with direct sales responsibilities.
What types of AI sales agents can be nominated in this category?
Any AI-powered sales agent, chatbot, or automated assistant deployed by a company that sells clinical laboratory equipment or diagnostics. The agent must be actively used as part of the B2B sales process, handling inbound inquiries, qualifying leads, or assisting buyers with product selection.
How does this category differ from the Analytical Instruments category?
Clinical Laboratory Equipment & Diagnostics focuses on instruments used for patient diagnosis in clinical settings (hospitals, reference labs, POL). Analytical Instruments covers instruments used for chemical analysis and material characterization in research, industrial, and regulatory labs (chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy). If the instrument's primary use is patient diagnostics, it belongs here.
Can a salesperson who sells both clinical and research instruments be nominated?
Yes. Nominate them in the category that best represents the majority of their sales activity. If they sell equally across both, they may be nominated in both categories.
